How does it work?

We will announce challenges through social media and this page. Follow the instructions and use the Water Rangers website or apps to record your work. Make sure each task you tag it with its #hashtag so that we can track you.

To celebrate the program launch, and since it’s spring, we’ve chosen some tasks to get you started:

Spring into Citizen Science Challenge

ENDS MAY 9

Complete all three spring tasks on app.waterrangers.ca by May 8 to get a prize! You could win a Freshwater Explorer Testkit,  LUSH products, + everyone who enters will receive a waterproof phone case! Record the #hashtags, so make sure you put them in your observation/issue notes.

1. Clean it up

#shorelinecleanup

  • Take photos before and after
  • Resolve the issue by cleaning up

2. Ice Watch

#iceoff

  • Take a photo

3. Your location

#samplespot
