After our Aquahacking win, we knew that this was just the beginning of the work. So, on July 10, Mark and I attended the Ottawa River Watcher’s meeting. It was a sweltering 36 degrees, but everyone was there for one purpose: to protect the Ottawa River. This passionate group of river-lovers meet every year to discuss new initiatives, including a beautiful new promotional kit for shoreline preservation. We spoke about what our plans were to research their water testing methods and learn more about why they do what they do.
Through this meeting, we were lucky enough to get contacts that will be taking us out on excursions along the river. Stay tuned for more about these adventures as we learn and plan the Water Rangers app!
